Holly, Jolly Christmas Party!

The 2014 VeloVixens Christmas Party and Year-End Meeting was a joyous event – fun was had by all! The Vixens had a wonderful showing; approximately half of the members attended, including some of our brand new members for 2014. Many of our sponsors were also in attendance, graciously providing raffle prizes for the evening.
The event was held at Over There restaurant in Chattanooga, TN. Over There provided a cornucopia of delicious bites, including chicken & waffles, a salad bar, onion rings, hush puppies, lentil stew, pumpkin cheesecake and mocha punch. Quite the array!

Bike Tours Direct donated a $250 gift card toward a bicycle tour; Scott’s Bikes (Cleveland, TN) and East Ridge Bicycles (East Ridge, TN) donated tubes, arm warmers, skirt wraps, a shrug, tools, lights, and water bottles; and, Scenic City Multisport donated hydration packs for raffle! Our ladies went home full and happy!

This year we are proud to announce our charity sponsor, The Partnership Crisis Center, for which we collected items to donate. Juli, from the center, was at the party to give us all a little more information about what they do an who they serve. We are very proud to be supporting The Partnership Crisis Center for 2014!

New cycling clothes company EscadrilleLast, but certainly not least, new local bicycle clothing company, Escadrille, brought fit kits to our Christmas party for members to try on items. We are so happy to “keep it local” and to wear the Escadrille name on our kits for 2014.

The 2013 year is nearly at a close, but with a huge jump in membership, the renewal of sponsorship contracts, and an expanded and excited board, the VeloVixens are ready to take off in 2014! If you are interested in joining the Vixens for 2014, visit our Membership page.
