Wow! What an incredible day at the 2013 Black Bear Rampage! Our sponsor, Scott’s Bikes, sure does know how to put on a good show! Thank you so much for all their hard work in creating yet another awesome day!

Black Bear Rampage offers racers a challenging, but super fun 20 mile or 40 mile course through the trails at Tanasi/Ocoee Whitewater Center. We had a huge Vixens showing, with several racers, a few gals manning our tent, and several others supporting SAG stops.

Dreama Campbell (4th place, Women >35) , Monica Dejardins (3rd, Women <35) , Elizabeth Glas (2nd, Women <35), and Marcia Gibson all raced women’s sport 40 mile category.

Noel Lawson rocked an incredible 1st place in the women’s 20 mile category, followed by Rina Handwerker (4th) and Heather Hamilton (10th).

Additional on-hand support included Lori, Fallon, & Jennifer, without whom we would have been fed less and cheered for more quietly 🙂

Major props to Scott’s Bikes – Black Bear Rampage sells out year after year, and every year the experience just gets better and better. It’s not easy wrangling 400 racers, but Scott’s never sweats it. Mark the 2nd Sunday in September as “busy” now, as this race is one not to miss!
